Beekeeping in your Community
Over the last 3 years, we have since rebuilt our apiary location in Green Water from our bear attack. It has been a journey and while we have rebuilt our hives, we have constant cost for maintenance of our hives. Your donation can help us continue to use our hive locations as an educational resource for beekeepers in our area. Our hives are used for research to stay up to date with any diseases that may threaten the Washington honeybee population. From varroa mites, foul brood, to any new diseases we may encounter, we use our hives to update you about any possible danger to your honeybees at home. On top of our research, there are other expenses your donation can help support; our hives are down a long forest road, so we are having to send crews a couple times a year to maintain the road to the hives. The new electric fence needs to be constantly powered with high-voltage batteries.
We love our community and have appreciated all the support we have gotten from you. While donating is a huge help, you can support us by visiting our store and sharing our story. We hope to see you soon!
