HONEY PRODUCTION AND MITE TREATMENTS

In this class we will be doing mite checks, weighing hives, measuring colony size, treating for mites, and performing isolations. This is part of a research initiative to help beekeepers increase honey yields as well as decrease mite counts. This will give you multiple perspectives on what you Can do when it comes to treating your hives with mechanical and chemical treatments.

The cost of this class will be $55 per session and is NON-REFUNDABLE due to the fact that it is a small class & fills up fast.  This class will be taught by Danny Najera.

You will need to bring the following:
•Lunch/drinks
•Bee Suit
•Hive Tool
•Bee Brush

You may also be required to lift heavy bee boxes.

We will provide the rest of the tools that are needed, smokers etc,
