Beekeeping 401: Beekeeper for a day! 4/4/15 11:00 – ?

Many beginning beekeepers spend a lot of time with their bees, but rarely get to see a great variety of colonies. During this session we will visit three different colonies and focus on how to assess and manage them. This will provide robust learning opportunities.

The cost of this class will be $50 & may last up to as long as 6 hours.  We will be visiting three different apiaries.  One here at the store, another at Rockridge Orchards in Enumclaw & one at the Mary Olsen Farm in Kent.  Danny Najera will be leading the class.

We will meet here at the store (28634 Maple Valley Black Diamond Rd SE, Black Diamond WA 98035), check in time is 10:30.  You will need to bring the following items:

• Lunch/drinks
• Bee Suit
• Hive tool
• Bee brush
