Beekeeping 401: Beekeeper for a day!
Saturday May 28th 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm
We have an awesome opportunity for 10 people join us for a day of beekeeping!
Join us to learn how to monitor and treat the Varroa mite. We will perform sugar shakes and based upon those values, we will treat for mites. While there are many treatment options, we will be opting for the Mite Away Quickstrip treatment. Learn how to place them and the conditions at which these strips are most effective. In addition, we will monitor each of the hives for health and status.
The cost of this class will be $50 per session and is NON-REFUNDABLE. The class will be taught by Danny Najera.
We will meet at “The Nursery at Mount Si, 42328 Southeast 108th Street, North Bend, WA 98045 at 2:15pm.
You will need to bring the following:
•Snacks/drinks
•Bee Suit (Full Coverall with Veil) & Gloves The class is non-refundable due to the fact that it is a small class & fills up very fast.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE CLASS WITHOUT A FULL COVERALL WITH A VEIL! We have Suits available at our store.
