Beekeeping 401: Beekeeper for a day! March 26th 9am – 11am & March 27th 9am – 12:30 pm

NOTE:  The 27th is Easter – You can search for Bee Eggs instead of Easter Eggs!

We have an awesome opportunity for 8 people join us for a day of beekeeping! At this time of year we need to make sure the honeybees are good in their organization. Box reversals and brood inspection will be our primary tasks coming out of winter.

Many beginning beekeepers spend a lot of time with their bees, but rarely get to see a great variety of colonies. During this session we will visit different colonies and focus on how to assess and manage a colony quickly. With many colonies, this will provide ample opportunity to see how variable each colony is.

The cost of this class will be $50 per session & will be taught by Danny Najera.

You will need to bring the following:
•Lunch/drinks
•Bee Suit
•Hive Tool
•Bee Brush

You may also be required to lift heavy bee boxes.

We will provide the rest of the tools that are needed, smokers etc,

We only have room for 8 people, so if you’d like to join us please stop by the store a soon as possible to sign up.

Warm regards,
Norm Holcomb
