Beekeeping 401: Beekeeper for a day!

Sunday, July 12th 9am – 12:00pm Mt. Si Nursery in North Bend AND
Sunday, July 12th 1:30 – 4:30pm Kent (meet at the gate on the corner of 64th Ave S and S 226th St).

•REQUIRED: Bee Suit (Full Coverall with Veil), Gloves & FACEMASK, we have masks for those who need one.

We have an awesome opportunity for 10 people (per class) to join us for a day of beekeeping!
The peak of blackberry has come. Now you have to get ready for winter! In this class we will focus on the necessary steps to preparing the honeybees for winter. Topics will include making sure the honey gets capped, making sure the brood nest is compact, and of course making sure mite checks are done. Come learn how to finish that Blackberry season and get your bees ready for winter.

The cost of this class will be $55 per session and is NON-REFUNDABLE due to the fact that it is a small class & fills up fast. This class will be taught by Danny Najera.
You will need to bring the following:
•Lunch/drinks
•Bee Suit
•Hive Tool
•Bee Brush
You may also be required to lift heavy bee boxes.
We will provide the rest of the tools that are needed, smokers etc,
PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE CLASS WITHOUT A FULL COVERALL WITH A VEIL! We have Suits available at our store.
