•REQUIRED: Bee Suit (Full Coverall with Veil) & Gloves

We have an awesome opportunity for 10 people (per class) to join us for a day of beekeeping!

The primary honey flows are now past us and the mite season is arriving. Data demonstrates that the mites begin their population increase in late August and early September. Therefore, we need to make sure we know what are counts are in early August as these will be what create the populations. Learn how to perform a sugar shake and what the results mean with us in this event. We will also discuss the three general types of treatment that beekeepers can choose to do this time of year (Mechanical, Synthetic Chemcials, Organic Chemicals).

The cost of this class will be $50 per session and is NON-REFUNDABLE due to the fact that it is a small class & fills up fast. This class will be taught by Danny Najera.

You will need to bring the following:
•Lunch/drinks
•Bee Suit
•Hive Tool
•Bee Brush
You may also be required to lift heavy bee boxes.
We will provide the rest of the tools that are needed, smokers etc,
PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE CLASS WITHOUT A FULL COVERALL WITH A VEIL! We have Suits available at our store.

We only have room for 10 people per class, so if you’d like to join us please stop by the store a soon as possible to sign up or call 425-432-1213.
