Beekeeping 401: Beekeeper for a day!

Saturday, May 4th 9am – 11:30am Mt. Si Nursery – North Bend AND
Saturday, May 4th 12:30 – 3:00pm Bees in the ’Burbs Store

•REQUIRED: Bee Suit (Full Coverall with Veil) & Gloves

We have an awesome opportunity for 10 people (per class) to join us for a day of beekeeping!
We will be checking on the progress of our colonies, installing nucs, and working on our queen finding and beginning mite training.

Some colonies need help building up while others are already in swarm mode. Nucleus colonies (Nucs) are in coming in and they need help. Come learn how to deal with each of these circumstances. We will also practice our sugar shakes on the overwintered colonies. If the queens are ready we will do some re-queening. Come learn firsthand what it’s all about!

The cost of this class will be $50 per session and is NON-REFUNDABLE due to the fact that it is a small class & fills up fast. This class will be taught by Danny Najera.
You will need to bring the following:
•Lunch/drinks
•Bee Suit
•Hive Tool
•Bee Brush
You may also be required to lift heavy bee boxes.
We will provide the rest of the tools that are needed, smokers etc,
PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE CLASS WITHOUT A FULL COVERALL WITH A VEIL! We have Suits available at our store.

We only have room for 10 people per class, so if you’d like to join us please stop by the store a soon as possible to sign up or call 425-432-1213.
Warm regards,
