Hello Everyone,

We couldn’t have been more pleased with the Beekeeping 101 class. Thanks to everyone who came out to hear Danny Najera give us such a great presentation on the basics of beekeeping.

Let’s not waste any time and keep going with our series. On Saturday, February 20th 12:00pm – 2:00pm, we’ll be presenting Beekeeping 201 – Hive Inspection and Logs.

In this class Danny will be showing us the fundamentals for performing a hive inspection. We will focus on minimizing both the damage to the honeybees and the hive equipment as well as the signs to look for in a healthy colony. Images will be used to demonstrate typical and healthy hives. We will finish with the importance of hive logs and tracking your data over time.

Everyone, regardless of beekeeping experience, is welcome.

The course fee is $40 and will be held at the Bees in the ‘Burbs store complex (28634 Maple Valley Black Diamond Road SE, Maple Valley 98038). Please call or stop by the store to sign up.

Warm regards,
Norm Holcomb
