Hello Everyone,

Let’s not waste any time and keep going with our series. On Saturday, May 9th, 1:00pm – 3:00pm, we’ll be presenting Beekeeping 303 – The Varroa Mite

The biggest threat to honeybees since the mid 1980s has been and is the Varroa mite. In this class we will look at the basic biology of the mites and the importance of monitoring their numbers. Then we will look at the methods of detection, treatment, recording, and reporting. Last, we will go practice a few select methods at the apiary.

Suits on for this one.

The course fee is $40 and will be held at the Bees in the ‘Burbs store complex (28634 Maple Valley Black Diamond Road SE, Maple Valley 98038). Please call or stop by the store to sign up.

Warm regards,
